I had the pleasure of attending a yoga retreat (my first one ever!) and can honestly say that it had both a nourishing and rejuvenating impact on me. It was an opportunity to give myself permission to disengage from the everyday, calm my mind and listen to my heart, and just take care of me for a change! We had classes on nutrition, yoga, meditation, essential oils and also had a chance to get back to nature with a walk in the woods. Along the way I met new people and left the weekend feeling part of another family…it was an intimate bonding experience. I’ve already signed up for the next retreat – I can’t wait!

Friday

Arrival: Anytime after 2pm

6:00pm: Welcome and Evening meal

8:00pm - 9:30pm  "Soothe The Soul" (opening circle & yoga)

Saturday

7:30am –Self Serve Breakfast
9:00 am - Meditation
9:15 am – 10:30am: “Embrace Your Light" (yoga)

12pm: Lunch

Free time:  (We will be drawing for FREE 1/2 hour Acupressure sessions between 1:00pm - 3:00pm.)

4pm – 5pm: “From Stress To Strength”  (discussion)

5:00pm - 5:45pm "Shake It Up" (yoga)

6:00pm: Evening meal

7:30pm – 9:00pm: “Breathe Your Stress Away" (yoga)

9:00 pm:  Bonfire (weather permitting) 

Sunday

Light Breakfast Upon Rising

8:00am – 9:30am: “Time To Shine" (yoga & meditation)

9:30am – 10:00am: “Full Circle" (discussion & closing circle)

10:30 am: Shanti's Signature Brunch

Shanti is located approximately 3 hours from Toronto and Montreal and 2 hours from Ottawa. Americans can conveniently reach Shanti by Horne‘s Ferry, from Cape Vincent, NY. This ferry service operates from mid-May to mid-October.

Wolfe Island Ferry Trips:

The Wolfe Island ferry departs from Kingston every hour. During the peak summer months and holiday long weekends we recommend you arrive one hour before the ferry departs. At other times of the year arrive at least half an hour before.
